The most eco-friendly clothes are the ones already in your closet

I just sat down with a needle and thread today to repair some pants. Some things wear out, but mostly we just toss or give away things we’re tired of. One of the nice things about being retired is there is no excuse not to repair, and no job that we believe requires us to have new clothes.

Here is a great post from a clothing manufacturer about the importance of taking care of and mending what we have as a means of helping the environment. Of course, it does wonders for your wallet, too.
